so happy to be walking over this beautiful bridge with this wonderful friend again
What a difference a year makes!
we walked these hundreds of wooden steps and crossed this beautiful bridge last year
just before my life turned upside down and got shaken about a few times.
when she still had her lovely mother on our Earth.
what a difference,
a simple Winter
followed by a long Summer makes,
as the trees shed their leaves and grown new ones,
as their roots grow deeper and wider
we also shed
people, places, skin and years.
as I watch the younger generation run up the mountain like goats,
i’m reminded that their roots are indeed growing deeper and wider too.
.
after driving the wrong way home, for about 40 minutes....blaming it on Algarve roads with no slip roads!
i reflect on how grateful I am for a normal day- a day seeing old friends, a day where I’m able to drive back home to a home that is safe and feels like mine.
